Milan
played a discreet match and maybe deserved all three points
but just could bot get them missing some good chances.
Ancelotti worked hard to move the squad toclinch this
match with some good substitutions and tactical movements.
It is now up to the squad to beat Roma and win the 17th
Scudetto next Sunday.

Ancelotti
made a couple of brilliant substitutions today which paid
their dividends. Milan took the lead after 26 minutes
from Shevchenko after the keeper failed to keep a Rui
Costa shot from the left. Shva had onlt to tap the ball
into the empty net. Siena equalised when Shevchenko was
deemed to have handled the ball when in the wall.
Milan
dominated most of the match and seem to have returned
to some sort of phsical form. Late in the game and much
to everyone's amaement he substituted Rui Costa with Boriello.
Kaka till then had been fairly anonymous. From a corner
just ten minutes from time Boriello rose above all to
head into goal with Kaka heading home when the ball was
nearly over the line to give Milan three very important
points and a now twelve point gap at the top of the serie
A.
Milan,
still showed signs of tiredness and psychological draining,
managed to beat Empoli by a disputed penalty with only
four minutes from time. It was to be said though that
Milan had a lot of chances to take the lead but Kaka and
Shevchenko were still having an off day in front of goal.
Shevchenko alos had a penalty disallowed a minute from
the end which looked legitimate enough. The only goal
of the match came from a Tomasson dribble which saw Balli
pull him down. The keeper got sent off. Pirlo was cool
enough to take the penalty and send the new keeper the
wrong way. Earlier Milan protested for another penalty
on Shevchenko who was clearly pushed from behind.

Milan
get trashed by a super Deportivo and are eliminated from
the Champions League. Deportivo literally took every chance
they had and Milan failed to capitalise on the few opportunities
at goal. Most players played a disastrous match. No excuses.
Milan
should have taken all three points today was it not for
imprecision up front. Milan however, did not play the
usual fast game and looked slow at times. The team seems
to be gearing up for the season finale. Ancelotti also
had the added problems that most of the players came back
from international duty. Shevchenko was not even in the
squad having been left at Milanello to cure himself from
the injury he suffred with Ukraine. Cafu and Kaka were
also rested having been to Brasil and back in a few days.
Milan's goal came from a Seedorf long range effort which
saw the Modena keeper fail to hold with Tomasson pouncing
on the rebound to score. Modena's equaliser came from
a Maldini error with Kamara then beating Nesta after some
favourable bounces and the ball ended in Amoruso's way
who beat the outstretched Dida.
